At The Wendy House, we know that your wellbeing is at the heart of the amazing care and learning you provide every day. Our wellbeing day is a chance for you to pause, recharge, and focus on yourself. We hope you’ll come away feeling valued, refreshed, and connected—not just as colleagues, but as a team that supports and uplifts one another. This day is our way of saying thank you for all that you do and reminding you that your wellbeing truly matters.

Time for yourself
Our wellbeing days are about giving you time to slow down and do something just for yourself. This might mean enjoying a quiet coffee and a good book, taking a walk in the fresh air, listening to music, or simply having a moment to relax and recharge. It’s a chance to step away from the busy pace of everyday life and focus on what makes you feel calm, rested, and renewed.

Important information
Our wellbeing days are unpaid, (one per academic year) but you may find a little treat waiting for you to enjoy (subject to funds available). These days are designed just for you—no questions asked, and no contact from work unless there’s an unavoidable emergency. Please note that all requests are still subject to manager approval, as we must always maintain the required staff-to-child ratios.
